The Year in Review

2008 was the crappiest of crappy years. It's not surprising then that the winner of Best Year Ever was something stupid. They chose Cory Worthington. This was the Australian idiot who threw a big destructive party way back in January. Of course the other choices weren't much better: Cloris Leachman, David Cook, Sarah Palin, and the pregnant man. Cloris might have been the better choice. But then they couldn't have done the funny realty show series of jokes. Regardless this is definitely the year Best Year Ever jumped the shark. As much as I enjoy Paul F. Topkins, it's just not as good.

I've decided the best pop culture show is The Soup on E! Joel McHale is a great host. Their year end show is The Clip Down and they have only shown part one. Part two is on 1/2/9. In addition to their weekly pop culture show, they also have another clip show called "The Soup Presents" where they put a bunch of clips in the same theme together.

There are other year end show such as The Today Show's top 5 news stories of the year which is on tonight on NBC. I'll be very happy when this crappy year is over.

The Best Week of Ever

It was no surprise to me that Shane Mercado had the best week ever this week. I saw his Single Ladies video everywhere this week.

Here are other recent Best Week's of Ever winners
11/14/08 The Pregnant Man, Thomas Beatie
11/07/08 Oprah Winfrey (Not Obama)
10/31/08 Mario Lopez
10/24/08 Undecided Voters
10/17/08 Joe The Plumber
09/26/08 Disappointment - For both the failing economy and David Blaine's retarded dive of death or rather the tepid bungee jump of diminished expectations.

And if you noticed the quick clip of Sarah Palin and the turkey slaughter interview in this week's episode, here's the full youtube segment. I suggest turning the sound of because I can't stand the sound of her voice any more.

Best Week Ever with Paul F Tompkins

If you watched BWE last week, they announced a format change for this week. It will now be Best Week Ever with Paul F Tompkis. I'm not quite sure how it is going to change the over all format of the show. Will there be other panelists? Will they keep the same segments: The Sizzler and In Case You Missed it? What about the current announcer guy?

If you don't remember who Paul F Tompkins is, he's the somewhat cute guy who always wears suits. His recurring segment was Celebrity Defender.

Best Week Ever and Chelsea Lately are the only two shows you need to keep up with celebrity/pop culture madness. Don't miss it on VH1 ever Friday.

Best Week Never

Best Week Ever wasn't on last week and that made me sad. Happily it is scheduled for this week so we don't have to suffer from a big break like they do. Don't they know that pop culture doesn't stop when they go on vacation?

On April 11th, Sarah Jessica Porkher had the best week ever. It must have been a slow news week for a blowup doll to get the BWE honor. Here's some strange youtube news that talks about it:

On April 18th, the kid who got a butter knofe stuck in his head had the best week ever. His name is Tyler Hemmert but I couldn't find any video of him.

On April 25th, Inappropriate Behavior had the best week ever. Here's a un-notable youtube reporter talking about CNN reporter Richard Quest getting arrested

On May 2nd, Claymates had the best week ever. Here or some crazy people getting Clay tattoos.

On May 9th, Terrible Moms had the best week ever, just in time for Mother's Day. You know who wasn't a terrible mom? My mom. She's great. Look how beautiful she was on her wedding day in 1956. She's the one in white.

Best First Quarter Ever

Last year I added a list of Best Week Ever winners on Wikipedia. Since then, the user who has added the most to that page was some user named Murdock408. Besides BWE he also updates pages on the Saw movies, the TV show Cavemen, an outlet mall in New Jersey, and a 10 year old video game called Skull Monkeys. It's an odd collection of culture.

On January 18, 2008, unrepentant Australian party teen Corey Worthington had the best week ever.

On January 25, 2008, Ricky from Project Runway cried his way to having the best week ever.

On February 1, 2008, 80's Popstars had the best week ever.

On February 8, 2008, Everybody's Girlfriends had the best week ever. Mostly because the super bowl is over. I don't have a good video.

On February 15, 2008, a very creepy Gary Coleman had the best week ever. Here's a funny Sims version of Diff'rent Stokes.

On February 29, 2008, Man Emotions had the best week ever. Here is the clip of Jimmy Kimmel enjoying Ben Affleck

On March 7, 2008, Tyra's Ego had the best week ever. Here she is going crazy on Top Model.

On March 14, 2008, Susan Mitchell, the lady who was trapped in the closet, had the best best week ever. I don't have a clip but it was my favorite episode this year. They got to resurrect all the Trapped in the Closet jokes from years past.

On March 21, 2008, Fat Animals had the best week ever. Here's some cute fat animals.

Best Week Ever 11-16-07

It is not so much a "who" had the best week ever this week, but a "what" and that what was Moral Bankruptcy. It's all about this viral video call Two Girls One Cup which is so horrible to believe. People are making reaction videos to watching the horrible thing. I thought I would get into the action. I only made it through 22 seconds of the video. Don't ever watch the video. Here's me watching it:

Last Week Midget Mac from I Love New York 2 had the best week ever. Here's his audition video, I think:

And on 10/26, Newshunk Anderson Cooper had the best week ever.
Here's what Kathy Griffin thinks of Anderson Cooper:

Best Summer Ever

So Best Week Ever is over until mid-September. At least they left us with one of the funniest episodes of the year. I've been laughing all weekend about Paula Abdul's craziness, Zsa Zsa'a naked prince, and of course Chocolate Rain:

On 7/27/07, The Filipino Prisoners had the best week ever. Here they are preforming Thriller:

On 7/20/07, Dogs had the west week ever. Britney bought one, Michael Vick stopped fighting them, and one adopted a baby panther. Sorry no video.

On 7/13/07, JJ Abrams fans had the best week ever. I too wanted to know more about his new monster movie when I saw the trailer before Transformers. Here it is:

Best June Ever

I was not surprised with the most dramatic Best Week Ever. I watched the dramatic prairie dog over and over and over again.

And here are some remixes plus the original footage from Japan television.

And the rest of June was great with the iPhone and the Paris Hilton thing and a;; the gay pride and stuff.

On June 22nd, Star Parker the crazy bitch from the View, had the best week ever.

On June 15th, Bob Barker had the best week ever.

On June 8th, Phillip Wellman the strange minor league baseball manager who went crazy, had the best week ever.
